Reboot configuration

reboot__boot_time_command

Command to run that returns a unique string indicating the last time the system was booted.

By default, the reboot Ansible module checks the contents of the /proc/sys/kernel/random/boot_id file. This causes issues in LXC containers however. Using the uptime command seems to fix the problem, so it is used by the role for the meantime.

reboot__boot_time_command: 'uptime'
reboot__force

If set to True, the role will reboot the host on each execution even if the /var/run/reboot-required file is not present.

reboot__force: False
reboot__default_search_paths

List of filesystem paths to search on the remote machine for the shutdown command. The $PATH variable is ignored in the remote node when searching for the shutdown command.

reboot__default_search_paths:
  - '/lib/molly-guard'
  - '/sbin'
  - '/usr/sbin'
  - '/usr/local/sbin'
reboot__search_paths

List of additional paths which should be searched for the shutdown command.

reboot__search_paths: []
reboot__timeout

Maximum number of seconds to wait for machine to reboot and respond to a test command.

This timeout is evaluated separately for both reboot verification and test command success so the maximum execution time for the module is twice this amount.

reboot__timeout: 600
